Workshop info

Facilitated music sessions for LGBT people and their friends to explore sound, rhythm and creativity in a supportive, fun environment. Beginners welcome. Mixed ability. Percussion instruments and amplification available. These sessions are aimed at people wanting to start exploring/continue exploring creative music making within a group context. Warm up exercises and improvisation techniques will be introduced to encourage a free approach to playing/singing. No previous knowledge of musical terms or techniques is required. We will explore sound and rhythm in its broadest sense, outside of any particular musical style - think "free improvisation" i.e. experimental, challenging, unusual, refreshing, playful. There will be ample time for tea breaks, sharing snacks and chatting to eachother also!
